*Artist Favorite* — This original work is a set of [2] 6.5” x 8.5” mixed-media paintings. These pieces were completed over the course of 4 months of gathering inspiration from shallow bodies of Caribbean water. This composition began with the additive sculpting of the island forms. Secondly, the forms were then painted with oils to convey the transition of color as water consumes land. Lastly, both segments were filled with pigmented resin which allowed for a transparent, ‘looking-glass’ effect of the seafloor below.
